Multi-Display
The multi-monitor pain point: secondary screens always compete for attention. VeilWin supports independent control per display, so dual and triple setups can be managed exactly as needed.
Global modes
In Settings → Displays, two global modes are available:
| Mode | Behavior | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Per-display focus (default) | Each display focuses its own current window | Working on multiple screens at once |
| Dim unfocused only | Only displays without focus are dimmed | Single-task focus |
Per-display settings
Every display can override the global settings independently:
- Enable/disable: excluded displays are completely unaffected
- Intensity override: make the secondary screen darker while the main one stays
- Profile binding: pin a specific profile to a display (e.g. the side monitor always uses the “Eye Care” profile)
Typical uses
- Dual-screen work: coding on the main screen (per-display focus), docs on the side auto-dim
- Presentations: projector/second screen never dims, laptop screen dims normally
- Streaming: the display being streamed is disabled from dimming, the control screen works normally
